Inova Health System is now accepting applications for grants that will help community partners, agencies, and organizations with initiatives that aim to improve health equity and support under-served communities with unmet healthcare needs.
The Inova Health Equity Opportunities applications for funding is awarded to organizations with a mission to support behavioral health, health access, and/or economic stability, according to the application description. Funds range between $25,000 and $50,000 and will be awarded by Inova to applicants meeting the specified criteria:
- Tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Service Code
- Headquartered/operating in one of the areas evaluated by the Community Health Needs Assessments (note specific community zip code eligibility)
- Focus areas include: behavioral health, health access and/or economic stability
- To promote the work of the awardee and further enhance the regional referral network and community partnerships, awardees will be required to participate with the Unite Us/Unite Virginia platform
Last year, $1 million in Health Equity Grants were awarded to 23 Northern Virginia nonprofit organizations.
Applications will be accepted up to and including April 15, 2023 at noon.
