Social distance in acres upon acres of golden daffodil blossoms and tulips of all shades of the rainbow. Sounds peaceful, right?

If you’ve never taken a drive to Burnside Farms in Nokesville, now may be the time to get in the car and do so. Just be sure to purchase a ticket in advance, as tickets are not sold at the gate.

In order to open, Burnside Farms is following strict guidelines outlined by the CDC and the Governor of Virginia regarding COVID-19. You can read more here.

The fields will be open to a very limited number of guests with pre-purchased tickets in timed arrival windows over the next few weeks.

“Daffodil Hill” has more than 300,000 blooms as of April 3 and will be in peak bloom for about another week. Tulips should peak later this week depending on the weather.

Fresh air and beautiful spring flowers are the perfect mix for uplifting moods during the COVID-19 pandemic. Flowers are known to boost moods. According to Psychology Today, they trigger the happy chemicals of the brain– dopamine, serotonin, and oxytocin.

As Burnside Farms wrote, “Flowers bring hope and hope is blooming in our fields.”
