Every year, Give Choose highlights non-profits in the community and draws much needed attention and funding for the wonderful work they do. While the official day for Give Choose is March 16th, you can make your donations early. There are 115 non-profits participating this year.

Celebrate Earth Day with Gus, a giant dog puppet, who leads you on a STEM-inspired adventure around the globe. Brought to you by Bright Star Touring Theatre, Gus encourages you to help the Earth through recycling, energy conservation and creative thinking.

Loudoun County Animal Services is hosting a “Clear the Shelters” event on Saturday, Sept. 18. All adoption fees will be waived.
The free pet adoption event will be held at the animal shelter from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday. The shelter, which moved to a new location over the summer, is located at 42225 Adoption Drive in Leesburg.
Dogs, cats, rabbits, and other small pets are available for adoption at the shelter. All dogs, cats, and rabbits are spayed and neutered before going home with their new owner. Those animals are also microchipped.
Dogs and cats receive age-appropriate vaccinations before the adoption, the shelter said. Anyone interested in adopting a pet can view available animals online at the Loudoun County Animal Services website.

The nonprofit, One Family Gives, has teamed up with The Pub in Purcellville to raise money for 10 military families.
There will be raffle tickets for merchandise and a grand prize to win a private party with a new vintage 1946 Chevy tap truck. A dollar per pint will go to One Family Gives to purchase the gifts for those military families in need this holiday season.

This year we’re offering something better than a traditional egg hunt! We’re setting up Hippity Hop Stops featuring crafts and activities for all ages. Get your Hop Stop Passport stamped as you make your way through our gardens, posing for Instagrammable moments along the way, and collect candy and goodies. Be sure to meet rabbits from the 4H Leaps and Squeaks Rabbit Club and take your own family photo with the Easter Bunny.
Celebrate Spring and the peak bloom of the cherry blossom trees to our area with a quiet morning spent at Breaux Vineyards in Purcellville. The ultimate way to chill on a Saturday.
