Every weekend in January, join VAL for socially distanced and wander among the wondrous ice sculptures displayed throughout Village at Leesburg. You can Drink in the Good Life with a beverage to go as you admire the sculptures. If you need a warming break as you are wandering around the property to see the sculptures, feel free to pop into one of our more than 60 boutiques, restaurants and entertainment experiences.
All are invited to a free virtual workshop presented by Ms. Kim Karr, co-founder of #ICANHELP, an effective, outcome-based program that celebrates youth innovation, empowers digital changemakers and promotes digital safety!

Loudoun County Animal Services is hosting a “Clear the Shelters” event on Saturday, Sept. 18. All adoption fees will be waived.
The free pet adoption event will be held at the animal shelter from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday. The shelter, which moved to a new location over the summer, is located at 42225 Adoption Drive in Leesburg.
Dogs, cats, rabbits, and other small pets are available for adoption at the shelter. All dogs, cats, and rabbits are spayed and neutered before going home with their new owner. Those animals are also microchipped.
Dogs and cats receive age-appropriate vaccinations before the adoption, the shelter said. Anyone interested in adopting a pet can view available animals online at the Loudoun County Animal Services website.

Loudoun County, VA– The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) will hold the 10th Child Safety Day in partnership with the Town of Leesburg Police Department on Nov. 5, 2022, at the Village at Leesburg.
This free event will be held from noon to 4 p.m. and will feature emergency vehicles and displays from the LCSO, the Leesburg Police Department, the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), the Office of the Loudoun Commonwealth’s Attorney, Loudoun County Child Advocacy Center, Loudoun Abused Women’s Shelter, Loudoun Child Protective Services, Loudoun County Combined Fire and Rescue System, Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Inova Loudoun Hospital Pediatrics, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, and the Ryan Bartel Foundation.
Many of the displays at Child Safety Day will provide information to parents on how they can protect their child from becoming a victim of a crime.
This year the LCSO will again invite Loudoun youth to “lend a hand in fighting crime” by dipping their hands in non-toxic, washable paint and placing their handprints on a sheriff’s office patrol car.
The event will also include live entertainment and games.
