About the show
Get the Tea is a new digital talk show created and hosted by Buta Biberaj. The show features noteworthy and diverse guests who are amplifying community issues, and focuses on creating a forum for increased access to critical information that our communities need to improve their daily lives. Get the Tea aims to be inclusive, and feature real people with real experiences who discuss issues that impact our families and communities. Each episode presents an issue, ideas for solutions or action, and a message of hope. Additionally, the show will conduct interviews with prominent figures, such as celebrities and politicians, on topics that impact our community.
Mobile Hope’s Christmas Village will bring joy to kids for its 10th season. The campus will transform into a Christmas Village, COVID-safe, drive-through Christmas event at 302 Parker Court, SE in Leesburg for pre-registered families in need.
Last year, the holiday event served 2,534 children in need with toys, stuffed animals, diapers and seasonal clothing.
Registered clients will drive through the Christmas Village, as children are entertained by elves, holiday music, festive lights and delightful decorations.
Santa will also be there!

This year we’re offering something better than a traditional egg hunt! We’re setting up Hippity Hop Stops featuring crafts and activities for all ages. Get your Hop Stop Passport stamped as you make your way through our gardens, posing for Instagrammable moments along the way, and collect candy and goodies. Be sure to meet rabbits from the 4H Leaps and Squeaks Rabbit Club and take your own family photo with the Easter Bunny.
Celebrate the holidays and get your groove on with the Jingle Bell Rock & Run. Run the races or bring your little ones for the 1-Mile Jammie Jingle! Then, enjoy loads of fun at the after party. Let your kids meet with Santa and take part in the festivities that will be sure to put you in the holiday spirit.

Celebrate with St. Peter’s Episcopal Church on the 4th of July
St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, 37018 Glendale Street in Purcellville, is hosting their annual “Independence Day Party” on Tuesday, July 4 right after the Purcellville parade around 1 p.m. All are welcome to join for a free pulled pork BBQ lunch and live Bluegrass music by Paxson Ridge.
Guests are invited to a short prayer service following lunch which will include a patriotic sing-a-long, prayers for our nation and a reading of The Declaration of Independence by Gary M. Clemens, Clerk of the Circuit Court. The celebration will take place rain or shine.
“This occasion presents a fantastic chance to get acquainted with your neighbors and commemorate our country’s independence. We eagerly anticipate seeing familiar faces and making new connections. And every prayer helps in these anxious times,” Fr. Tom Simmons, St. Peter’s Episcopal Church.

On Sunday, Oct. 8, St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, 37018 Glendale Street in Purcellville, is hosting their annual Bless the Pets event in celebration of St. Francis of Assisi, nature’s saint. This special service will be at 9:30 a.m., rain or shine. The community is invited to bring their animal friends of all sizes to be blessed.
“This annual event is an opportunity for church members and community friends to remember St. Francis’ devotion to God’s creatures and bless those that are such a blessing to us,” said Father Tom Simmons, of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church.
Rescue groups PetConnect and HART will have a several animals available to adopt and provide loving homes to these deserving creatures.
Please be sure that small animals are in a proper carrier and large or potentially quarrelsome animals are properly restrained.
