Mar 5 – Mar 31 all-day

Have you begun your spring cleaning? Here’s a great way to get rid of any old sneakers you may have around the house.

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) has partnered with GotSneakers to help raise money for Mothers Against Drunk Driving Loudoun (MADD). Adult and children sneakers can be donated. THE LCSO asks that they be tied together and brought to one of the LCSO stations on or before March 31, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Here are the drop off locations:

Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office Headquarters – 803 Sycolin Road in Leesburg, VA 20177
Dulles South Public Safety Center – 25216 Loudoun County Pkwy, Chantilly, VA 20152
Eastern Loudoun Station – 46620 East Frederick Dr., Sterling, VA 20164
Ashburn Station – 20272 Savin Hill Dr., Ashburn, VA 20147
Western Loudoun Station – 47 W. Loudoun St, Round Hill, VA 20141

The LCSO will accept all styles and conditions of sneakers. After the sneakers are collected, GotSneakers will process and distribute these sneakers around the world specifically within impoverished nations using micro-enterprise partners helping those in need. The sneakers that are damaged are processed and ground into surfaces for playgrounds, gym floors, tracks, outdoor courts, and synthetic turfs.

Egg My Yard
Apr 3 @ 7:00 pm – 11:45 pm

What’s better than waking up with the kids on Easter morning to discover your yard is covered in brightly colored, candy and trinket filled eggs? Not having to sneak outside and scatter eggs yourself without getting caught is certainly a big help!

For a $50 donation, Friends of Loudoun County Animal Services will deliver 30 eggs to your yard on Saturday night and place them in an area designated by you. They will text you before arrival to let you know they’re on the way, and again when they’re leaving so you know the job is done.

The bunny helpers are stuffing eggs now in preparation for the big night! Sign up now to secure your spot and to support a good cause!

Silence No More Survivor Movement

Friday, June 11, 2021, 12-2PM, join The Silence No More movement as we honor and recognize survivors of domestic violence for their courage, strength, and perseverance and the individual support systems that are there long before police, restraining orders and court systems.

The Silence No More Movement is designed not to erase the past. But more importantly, to recognize the strength of a survivor and the support systems that got them there. It’s through experience, determination, passion, resilience, selflessness, and love that these individuals circle back to help change the mindset of current victims with hope for progress, justice, and healing.

The event will include remarks from the Loudoun County Commonwealth Attorney’s Office and local supporters of The Silence No More Movement.

The goal is for attendees to feel from listening, be uplifted from the stories of survival, and feel empowered to join the fight to guarantee that abuse will not continue to happen every 20 seconds in our nation.

This is a public event. RSVP is required.
Live Jazz and light appetizers.
