The Stone Ridge location provides Aldie residents with an avenue for donating gently used items

GreenDrop has a new Stone Ridge site which will provide residents with a safe and convenient location to donate their gently used items. GreenDrop collects tax-deductible donations of clothing and household items on behalf of its national partner nonprofits. Those include American Red Cross, Military Order of the Purple Heart Service Foundation and, the National Federation of the Blind.

The donation center is open daily from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm and accepts donations of lightly used clothing, shoes, blankets, kitchenware, and housewares.

“We are thrilled to bring our sustainable services to Aldie and provide an innovative, earth-friendly way for Virginia residents to support deserving nonprofits,” said Matthew Lomberg, General Manager of GreenDrop in a press release. “We look forward to being an integral part of the Aldie community.”

GreenDrop makes it easy to donate clothing and household items to their nonprofit partners at their Aldie location. Donors drive up and a uniformed attendant will greet them and collect the items and ask the donor to indicate the nonprofit they would like their donation to benefit. Donors in return receive a tax deductible receipt.

In 2021, GreenDrop paid an estimated $4.2 million to participating nonprofits with 100 tons of donations repurposed each week throughout six states.
