All proceeds from the tour will go to All Ages Read Together, a 501c3 non-profit dedicated to educating children in need with free preschool programs in their communities.

Karen will host book readings at the following locations:

Karen is the award-winning author of The Lollipop Tree, How to Eat a Peach, Larry and Bob and the newly released, Vultures, A Love Story. Her nature-based fiction books include advanced vocabulary as Karen encourages parents to read aloud to their children to prompt further discussion. Karen’s books are available to purchase on Amazon or via her Web site at www.karenschaufeld.com.

A strong advocate of early literacy and vocabulary acquisition, Karen co-founded All Ages Read Together (AART) in 2007. Based in Herndon, Va., AART is a school readiness program for low-income preschool age children. With 10-12 programs across Loudoun, Fairfax, Arlington and Alexandria, AART serves approximately 150 kids each year.

In an AART classroom, students explore academic interests, develop social and interpersonal skills, and enrich their minds through a diverse selection of books. For more information, go to www.allagesreadtogether.org.
