The Loudoun Chamber is now accepting nominations for the 2024 Community Leadership Awards. The deadline to nominate a local business or community leader for this award is Friday, September 29, 2023 at 5 p.m.
The awards honor Loudoun’s business and nonprofit community leaders that demonstrate exemplary service to positively impact the quality of life in Loudoun County and its citizens.
The top honorees will be announced at the Loudoun Chamber’s annual meeting & community leadership awards gala. The date for this event is Friday, January 19, 2024 at The National Conference Center in Lansdowne.
The 56th Annual Meeting & Community Leadership Awards also will celebrate outgoing Board Chair, Carol Barbe, owner of Backflow Technology, LLC.
“Loudoun’s businesses and nonprofits are the backbone of our community, working non-stop to serve our neighbors in need, while creating a world-class quality of life and economy that serves us all. The Loudoun Chamber is proud to honor the best of these outstanding Community Leaders, and to thank them for making Loudoun the nation’s best community to raise a family and to grow a business,” said Chamber President & CEO Tony Howard.
There are six award categories. Two for large and small business, and four for individuals: executive leaders, young professionals, nonprofit executives and DEIA Leaders. These finalists, and the eventual top honorees, will be chosen by a panel of Loudoun’s top business and nonprofit leaders.
The DEIA (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility) honor is the newest award category. This award recognizes Loudoun leaders who have successfully advanced the principles of DEIA within their business or within the Loudoun community.
Each community leadership Award winner has the opportunity to select one nonprofit organization to be the beneficiary of a $1,000 grant. This is courtesy of the Community Foundation for Loudoun and Northern Fauquier Counties.
