Tribute at One Loudoun Recognizes Veterans with Celebration on Veterans Day

Veteran and Past All American Commander Phil Rusciolelli, VFW Honor Guard member Richard Bruns and Leesburg Post Commander Raymond Delpesche lead a flag ceremony and deliver remarks for the residents of the Tribute at One Loudoun on Veterans Day.

The Tribute at One Loudoun honored resident veterans with a special ceremony this Veterans Day.

“We are excited to honor the Veterans who live in our community as well as all Veterans who have served our country,” said Zoie Barcus, executive director at Tribute at One Loudoun. “We are grateful for their service and sacrifices for the freedoms we enjoy every day.”

More than a dozen residents who served in the Armed Forces and several spouses of service men and women were recognized. The ceremony featured remarks by Loudoun County VFW Post 1177 Commander Ray Delpesche.

Resident Loree Smith, Veteran and Special Guest Phil Rusciolelli and Resident Lula Simon are all smiles at the Tribute at One Loudoun’s special Veteran’s Day event today where Rusciolelli and his fellow team members from the Leesburg VFW provided remarks to the residents.

The event also included a musical sing along of patriotic songs, a trumpet performance of Taps, and a “Salute to Our Veterans” video presentation. Many of the families of the veterans were able to participate virtually.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the ceremony was not open to the public.
