Are you looking for a fun, loving way to give back this Valentine’s Day? NEST4US, a nonprofit organization that supports kindness, has organized a special blessing bag project.
The project consists of signing up to either volunteer for set up, assembling bags, donating specified items, or dropping off completed bags to homeless shelters. The set up date is Friday, February 10 at the First Baptist Church in Sterling. The following morning, registered volunteers will assemble the blessing bags. The items asked for donation include adult socks, toothpaste, soap bars, Valentine’s Day chocolates, shampoo, snack bars, ziplock bags, hair combs and other miscellaneous items.
If you’re interested in getting involved, either as a volunteer and donating for the Valentine’s Special Blessing Bag project, you must register at the signup genius link.
The purpose of the the bags is to spread love and kindness to those at the homeless shelter.
