The Ladies Board of Inova Loudoun Hospital is pleased to announce the 82nd Annual Ladies Board Rummage Sale raised nearly $171,000.  Hundreds of volunteers helped to unload and organize the donated treasures and over 2,000 shoppers attended the event held at the Loudoun County Fairgrounds in Leesburg in mid-September.  The top selling departments were The Look, Jewelry and Vintage.

Named the 2016 Annual Tourism Event of the Year in Loudoun and named Best Annual Charity Event in Northern Virginia for three consecutive years (2017, 2016 and 2015) by Virginia Living magazine, the Rummage Sale draws shoppers from the entire mid-Atlantic region. The bargain shopping extravaganza offers everything imaginable from antiques, clothing, and accessories to jewelry, toys and more.

“It was so exciting to see all our shoppers from previous years who were thrilled to see the Ladies,” said Joylyn Hannahs, co-chair of 82nd Annual Ladies Board Rummage Sale. “Our volunteers were giddy to be back doing what they’ve done for many years and in some cases-generations!”

The Ladies Board raises several hundred thousand dollars each year through its thrift shop, gift shop, rummage sale, Lights of Love and Polly Clemens Nursery Fund. All projects benefit Inova Loudoun Hospital and the Ladies Board Nursing Scholarship Fund. Organizers will begin planning for the 83rd sale next week.

“Our Ladies Board members and volunteers are so dedicated and had so much energy,” said Megan O’Brien, co-chair of 82nd Annual Ladies Board Rummage Sale.  “Everyone worked really hard throughout the week setting up and during the event and it paid off.”
