The Loudoun Ballet Performing Arts Company (LBPAC) in Leesburg is pleased to present a new digital performance—Tales from Beatrix Potter—a collection of short stories adapted for ballet from the classic storybook series by English author, Beatrix Potter. Release of this digital performance is timed to coincide with the author’s 155th birthday on July 28, 1866. Best known for her children’s books featuring animal characters, Beatrix Potter wrote over 30 books inspired by her love of her pets and nature. LBPAC’s original production includes beloved characters such as Jeremy Fisher, Jemima Puddleduck, Squirrel Nutkin, Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle and Peter Rabbit and was filmed on location at Ida Lee Park in May.

“We’re excited to offer this digital experience to our community for free,” said Cherie Maroni, LBPAC Executive Producer & Founder, “it’s a great family-friendly option for busy parents who are looking for ways to entertain their kids over the summer. Our dancers had a blast filming this and we are proud to be able to offer it to our community for free. It’s great to be able to reconnect with our community again after a tough 18 months.”

Free to watch, Tales from Beatrix Potter will be available for digital download from July 20 through the end of August. For more information visit www.lbpac.org.
