The Loudoun County Domestic Abuse Response Team (DART) has released a Youtube video to let survivors of abuse know they’re still working for them.
Working remotely helps to slow the spread of COVID-19, but could also put survivors of abuse in unsafe situations, as shared in the video message. The video informs the public of the resources still available to protect and serve those who are quarantined with an abuser.
The release of the video comes at a critical time. There’s been an uptick nationally in the number of reported abuse cases, with financial stress and isolation as contributing factors.
