Local Girl Scout and Brownie Troops are saying thank you to the dedicated healthcare professionals who are working long hours and missing family time to ensure the Loudoun community is safe and well during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Inova Health recently shared pictures of the cards and cookie boxes with a thank you to the troops on Instagram. It read, “We want to thank Girl Scout Troops #2482 and #4521 and Brownie Troop #70124 for their notes of encouragement and donating Girl Scout cookies for our healthcare heroes at Inova Loudoun Hospital.”

A little positivity in this difficult time can truly be uplifting for healthcare professionals– and these troops are certainly aware of that.  As one written note said, “Thank you for your services and sacrifices to care for our community during this incredibly stressful time. We hope these cookies help in a small way to brighten your spirits.”

Many cards included drawings. One included a drawing of healthcare workers in scrubs and masks but swords and shields were added to their hands as they went to battle with Coronavirus.

Another note read, “Thank you for helping the sick people and making the world a better place.”
